DC League of Super-Pets The Adventures of Krypto and Ace video game announcement trailer on-rails shooter PHL Collective Outright Games FanDome

Far and away the most important announcement from DC FanDome, publisher Outright Games and developer PHL Collective have dropped an announcement trailer for on-rails shooter DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace, which will release in spring 2022 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam. The game is inspired by the upcoming 3D-animated DC League of Super-Pets movie that is slated for release on May 20, 2022, which stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Krypto and Kevin Hart as Ace the Bat-Hound. (I presume it will be an extremely dark and gritty film.)

Details for DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace are scant at the moment, but the prospect of a Star Fox-ish DC animals video game is deeply amusing nonetheless. Here is what we have been told so far:

Releasing in 2022, the ‘DC League of Super-Pets’ video game will put players in the paws of Super-Pets Krypto the Super-Dog and Ace as they take to the skies to protect the animal population of Metropolis from a new and looming threat. Fly over the city skylines as Krypto and Ace, in this 3D on-rail action game, save the day with each of their unique and powerful ability upgrades.

This title is a relatively high-profile get for Outright Games, which has made a name for itself in churning out myriad kid-friendly video game adaptations of various IP. PHL Collective in particular developed Ben 10: Power Trip and most recently The Addams Family: Mansion Mayhem with Outright.

Although DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace on Switch is clearly the highlight of today’s news, DC FanDome also revealed some other things, such as new game trailers for Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and new movie trailers for The Flash and The Batman (and a teaser for another Dwayne Johnson vehicle, Black Adam).
