The hit PS Vita dungeon RPG Demon Gaze is getting an enhanced version called Demon Gaze EXTRA for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, and Kadokawa Games has shared a teaser trailer and more details, including a look at the packaging and a limited “Memorial Edition” version, on the game’s official website.
Kadokawa hasn’t specified whether it’s a remaster or remake, but so far, they’re calling it an enhanced version, so think of it as something in-between. In addition to upgraded graphics and controls, EXTRA will include several new elements that have yet to be revealed. Experience developed the first two Demon GAZE games, but Cattle Call will handle the development of Demon Gaze EXTRA, so expect something a little different.
Here are more product details for the enhanced dungeon RPG:
The standard edition of the game will go for 7,480 yen (~$68.76) for the Switch and PlayStation 4.
The limited Demon Gaze EXTRA Memorial Edition will go for 11,480 yen (~$105.53). It includes a “Three-Disc Memorial Soundtrack” and an “Original Notebook,” all in a special suitcase box. First-print copies of the Demon Gaze EXTRA limited edition also come with a “Treasure Set” DLC and a reprint of the reversible jacket from the original.
Here’s a look at the full key art by Tetsu Kurosawa, who worked on character designs for the original game:
