Donkey Kong Country Returns & Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze David Wise would be 'delighted' to compose for another Donkey Kong

Another weekend is behind us, and if you were lucky, you found the time to sink your teeth into a game or two. What did that entail for you? Whether you were knee-deep in the latest release or cruising through your backlog, let’s hear what you got done this weekend.

I’m getting my Donkey Kong fix in with Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze on Switch. It’s one of the best 2D platformers every made, and I’m loving every moment of my second playthrough. It’s all I’ve got for now, since Nintendo doesn’t seem to want to give us a new Donkey Kong Country game, but it more than gets the job done (maybe that’s why we don’t have a new Donkey Kong Country).

Additionally, I have been spending a good bit of free time forging new multiplayer maps in Halo Reach. My friends and I have been playing the game for the better part of the last decade, and it always helps to throw in some new maps. Slowly crafting new maps is an extremely relaxing experience, so it’s no surprise that I can so easily spend an afternoon building up whatever my mind can come up with.

What did you work on this weekend? Are you playing a brand new game, are you aimlessly managing your village in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, or are you just doing some good old-fashioned backlogging? Share what you have going on in the comments.
