March 20th is a big time for video games, with two majorly anticipated titles dropping on that calendar date. One is an intense, immersive game involving managing your limited resources at every moment as you explore an unfamiliar environment. The other is Doom Eternal. The exciting new follow-up to 2016 hit Doom has got fans clamoring to get their hands on it, especially considering how much content there is in the game. We’ve seen new weapons, new enemies, a variety of upgrades and even a unique new two-versus-one competitive Battlemode on the list of new additions to the game. Now, we can add character customization to the lineup of features, as a new trailer for Doom Eternal shows off how we’ll be able to personalize our Doom Slayer.
The trailer above shows a cutscene from the game playing out with a variety of different skins for the iconic demon-hunting warrior who we control in Doom Eternal. We see the flaming Demonic Slayer skin available in the deluxe edition of the game, as well as a classic red Doomguy skin that players can unlock by owning one of the classic Doom titles that were recently re-released by Bethesda. We also geta look at some interesting original skins, like a gladiator-style warrior skin and a majestic, intimidating white-and-pink unicorn skin that players can earn via Twitch Prime. All of these customizations will also carry over into photo mode and the multiplayer Battlemode.
Doom Eternal is set to launch on March 20 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch release arriving later this year.
