Double Pug Switch

The Switch has no shortage of nifty indie platformers, each with their own twists and turns, but the concept behind Double Pug Switch still stands out just a little bit. With a playable dog, forty unlockable hats, and platforming that revolves around skillfully navigating not one, not two, not three, but four different dimensions, Double Pug Switch looks like a solid way to spend an afternoon or two. Check out the trailer below (featuring a real pug) to get a look.

As you can see, the game challenges players to bring transparent platforms and obstacles in and out of reality by swapping dimensions at will. This mechanic looks daunting just from a quick glance at the trailer, and is sure to make speedy play or hunting for collectibles quite the challenge. I know that there are tons of platformers already on the eShop, but Double Pug Switch seems to be a pretty compelling package.

Releasing on October 22 with a meager $9 price tag, Double Pug Switch looks to be one of the highlights of this week’s eShop offerings. We’ll have to wait a couple of days to see if it delivers on the hype, but for now, you can color me quite interested.
