Dynasty Warriors

The Dynasty Warriors movie is set to arrive on Netflix before the end of this week, arriving in the USA, UK, and other territories on July 1. The movie looks like a low-budget, action-packed cheese-fest – something that, strangely enough, sounds like exactly what I’d want out of a Dynasty Warriors movie. Check out the trailer from Netflix Asia below to catch a glimpse of what I’m talking about.

The movie could, of course, end up being completely awful. It would not be the first awful video game movie and certainly would not be the last. However, it seems to me that there is at least a good chance of Dynasty Warriors ending up being pretty darn enjoyable for fans who appropriately set their expectations before grabbing some popcorn and sitting down to check out the movie.

If you’re a fan of the series but can’t bother to check out the movie, consider giving a look at some newly released gameplay footage of Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires instead – the game won’t be out until sometime later this year, but perhaps the cinematics and gameplay we do have from that game can satisfy you in a way that a cheesy video game movie can’t.

Are you interested in checking out the movie? Why or why not? How do you think you’ll like it? Let us know in the comments below.
