Earthbound in Link's Awakening style

Another weekend is upon us, and if you are lucky, you might find the time to sink your teeth into a game or two. What games might that entail for you? Whether you are knee-deep in the latest release or cruising through your backlog, let’s hear what gaming you have planned this weekend.

I’m primarily working on Earthbound – finally. I got about halfway through the game when it launched on the Wii U eShop a few years ago. After putting it down, moving off to college, and starting law school in a new town (away from my Wii U), I’ve given up hope on returning to that half-finished file, so I rebought the game on the 3DS eShop. So far, I’m right back into my groove. Earthbound is an excellent RPG in every sense.

I’m also chipping away at the final levels of Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, and I am playing some Halo Reach in the background (as always). I’m additionally closing in on Champion’s Road in a replay of Super Mario 3D World. All in all, I’ve had some enjoyable gaming going on.

What did you work on this weekend? Are you playing a brand new game, are you aimlessly managing your village in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, or are you just doing some good old-fashioned backlogging? Share what you have going on in the comments.
