Farming Simulator 20 - Content Update 2

Giant Software was happy to produce Farming Simulator 20 for the Switch and mobile platforms a few months back. Since then, the team has added in a bit of new content to the game, and thankfully, it’s all been for free. The latest content update for the simulator has just been released and is the second one so far. The new update for Farming Simulator 20 adds two new vehicles from manufacturer John Deere as well as a new implement.

The first is John Deere S790, a new combine harvester that has two headers, so it’ll be able to handle a variety of crop loads. The second new vehicle is the John Deere 9620 RX Tractor. This bad boy runs on quad tracks rather than traditional wheels, and it has a pretty serious engine. Therefore, it’ll be able to handle all of the implements you can throw at it with no issues. The last piece of new content available in this pack is the Fliegl Semitrailer. Using a semi-truck, you’ll be able to hook it up to the trailer to transport at least two vehicles (like tractors) at high speed.

If you already have Farming Simulator 20  then the update should auto-download. If you do not yet have the game, it can be picked up from the Nintendo eShop for a smooth $44.99. That’s quite the charge, but if you’re willing to take the plunge, the game isn’t all that bad. I’ve put a few hours into it and I was relatively pleased, though its feature set is not as robust as its predecessor which is Farming Simulator – Nintendo Switch Edition. In my review of Farming Simulator 20 a few months back, I awarded it a 7/10 with this parting remark: “When compared to the last mobile entry —Farming Simulator 18 — which came out on mobile and 3DS, this is a pretty big step up. However, while I do find Farming Simulator 20 to be well put together, considering that GIANTS got the ball rolling on Switch with a port of the home console/PC experience, this does feel like a step back.”
