The UK gaming charts for the week ending Septemeber 29th are in. To no one’s surprise, FIFA 19 has topped the chart this week.  The game has dethroned Spider-Man as the top-seller for the week. There are a few Nintendo games that managed to crack the top 10, which is definitely a positive. Check out the full list below (Physical game sales only):

  1. FIFA 19
  2. Spider-Man
  3. Shadow of the Tomb Raider
  4. Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy
  5. Grand Theft Auto V
  6. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  7. The Elder Scrolls Online
  8. NBA 2K19
  9. Valkyria Chronicles 4
  10.  Minecraft: Xbox Edition

A Few Switch Titles Crack the List

It’s great to see Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sneak into the top 10 again. The game has performed extremely well for Nintendo. Valkyria Chronicles 4 was a new release for the Switch last week, so it’s also great to see it crack the top 10. The Switch version accounted for 39% of its sales, with PS4 at 54% and Xbox One with 7%.

Another interesting tidbit is the performance of FIFA 19 on Switch. The game launched alongside the other major console versions but didn’t seem to perform well on the Switch. The Switch version only accounted for 1% of sales, while PS4 saw 64% and Xbox One saw 35%. This is definitely not a statistic Nintendo wants to see. These sales do only reflect the UK, so it is possible that FIFA 19 for Switch performed well in other regions.

What are your thoughts on these sales? I’m sure sales will pick up as we approach the Holiday season. It’s also the calm before the storm, with some major game releases headed our way in the upcoming months. If you are interested in purchasing any of these games in the top 10, be sure to check out our coverage on the site’s homepage. And don’t forget the share all your thoughts with us down below!
