Fight Crab

The Nintendo Switch is no stranger to unique fighters. However, I bet Switch gamers have never seen a title quite like Fight Crab. A game where you play as a crustacean hitting weak points for massive damage? It’s just crazy enough to work.

Gentlemen, welcome to Fight Crab

While the brawler was delayed from 2018 to 2019, it’s still confirmed to be launching before the end of the year. Knowing the general public is eager for any updates, developer Nussoft dropped a new short but sweet trailer on YouTube:

What in the holy hell is even happening?! Lightsabers, fans, drills, swords, and Mjölnir are all weapons you can use in Fight Crab? This title is going to win Game of the Year.

If it wasn’t evident in the video, the goal of Fight Crab is to flip your adversary onto their back for a certain number of seconds. Wailing on them increases their damage percentage, which in turn makes them easier to topple over. It’s just like Super Smash Bros., only with horrifying sea bugs.

Unique to the Switch version of Fight Crab is the ability to use the Joy-Con to control your claws. Each half will correspond to a separate appendage. Expect frustration and hilarity to ensue when you invite friends over for a battle.

Readers, what do you make of Fight Crab? Does it look like a dumpster fire or a competent fighting game? Let us know in the comment field below.
