We are almost three months away from the release of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition. Originally a GameCube title, the RPG had you and up to three friends coordinating together to vanquish evil. On Nintendo’s purple box, the co-op was local. Square Enix has been hyping up the remaster by touting its online multiplayer, which led some to believe in the axing of couch cooperation. Thankfully, it appears the beloved feature is still present.
I hope to betray some new friends once Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition launches
The following text appears on Playstation.com under the game’s features:
Take your heroes online
Join up to three friends for online adventures, or bring everyone together around one TV for couch co-op play in your quest to save civilisation.
If the PS4 can handle 4-player cooperative play, I think it’s safe to assume the Switch version will, as well. Unless Nintendo goes back to requiring four Game Boy Advances and link cables to adventure simultaneously. Remember that mess of wires and disposable income?
Enthusiasts, are you happy to hear Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will probably have couch co-op? Let us know if you are planning to pick up the title on August 27.
