Fantasy VII

Final Fantasy VII is one of the most popular RPGs of all time. A big part of its ongoing appeal is the soundtrack, which contains a multitude of heavy hitters. Many songs in the title are still fondly remembered today. Two of the most well known, Aerith’s Theme and The Main Theme of FFVII, are now being offered in music box form through Square Enix’s online store.

Square Enix can make a killing selling more of these Final Fantasy VII music boxes, one for each song in the game

Have a listen to the tunes, but have tissues readily available:

My heart! These compositions still manage to make me tear up, even though the mini records only play snippets of the full scores. The designs are also wonderful.

Each of the Final Fantasy VII music boxes will set you back ¥1,600 ($17.99). They are available via pre-order through the U.S. store and will ship in August.

Enthusiasts, will you be picking up one or both of the Final Fantasy VII music boxes? Are you hopeful more melodies will appear in the future if these sell well? Let us know your answers to these important questions with a comment down below.
