Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age new features Nintendo Switch Square Enix

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is coming to Switch on April 30, and Square Enix has dropped a new video to flaunt some brand new features for the Switch and Xbox One editions of the title. The game is now available for digital pre-purchase, coming in at 12.6 GB on Switch.

Among new features, there is a license reset function for party members now, achieved by talking to Clan Centurio’s leader Montblanc in Rabanastre. Next, each party member can now have up to three unique gambit sets for their AI, so that party members can behave in different ways in different situations. Lastly, New Game+ is being expanded, in that it now allows players “to start the game with party members at level 90 and carry over some items like weapons, magic and gil obtained during previous playthroughs.”

The Xbox One version exclusively will support 60 fps if run on Xbox One X. But the game isn’t exactly a visual feast these days, so Switch owners won’t be missing out on much here.

Let us know if you plan on buying Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age! For me, $50 on a port of a game I didn’t like the first time around is too much. But after a severe discount — maybe!
