It’s been over three months since Eden Games’ Gear.Club Unlimited 2 hit the Switch. Its launch was muddied by various issues and bugs, along with some missing online functionality. While the development team has taken some time, a new update has recently been rolled out which addresses some of these problems, bumping the game version up to 1.3.0.

Some of the highlights of this new update are a reduction in loading times, bug fixes, and the addition of online multiplayer.

Here are the full patch notes:

Features added on the screens at the beginning of races:

I handled the review for Gear.Club Unlimited 2 here on Nintendo Enthusiast, and awarded it a 5/10 due to some of the aforementioned issues. While it’s great that Eden Games is still actively working on the game, I feel this patch is only a minor step forward for an otherwise very flawed game. More needs to be done before I’ll consider Gear.Club Unlimited 2 to be worthy of a purchase, especially due to its steep $60 price-tag.
