According to a job listing at its website and as translated by Nintendo Everything, Grezzo is hiring for a new “stylish” “medieval” game that is not striving for photorealism but will incorporate some realistic aspects into its design. The game is being made with Unity and VisualStudio, among other things, and the developer is seeking a programmer, effects designer, and UI designer. Grezzo is known by some for its original IP Ever Oasis (which Nintendo published) on Nintendo 3DS, but it is much more popularly known for the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on Nintendo Switch, as well as for co-developing several other Zelda projects like Tri-Force Heroes and Majora’s Mask 3D. It even developed the 3DS port of Luigi’s Mansion.
Other details for Grezzo’s stylish medieval game are apparently under wraps for now. If history is any indication, the game will land on Nintendo Switch or its successor, as nearly every game in the company’s catalogue has come to a Nintendo platform, beginning with Line Attack Heroes on WiiWare in Japan in 2010. Grezzo certainly knows how to treat another company’s IP with care, and if it has picked up a few tricks from developing those ports and remakes, this medieval game could become something special.
