Guardians of the Galaxy switch

Square Enix announced a Guardians of the Galaxy video-game adaptation during it’s E3 2021 presentation on Sunday. At first, we were under the impression that the game would be exclusive to other platforms. However, during today’s Nintendo Direct, it was announced that Guardians of the Galaxy will be heading to the Nintendo Switch via cloud streaming. If you’ve played games such as Hitman 3 or Control on Nintendo Switch, Guardians of the Galaxy will offer a similar kind of experience. Make sure you have a solid internet connection, as the Nintendo Switch version will require a consistent download speed.

Not much gameplay footage was shown during the Direct itself, but Square Enix showed 15 minutes of footage the other day, which was quite extensive. Players will take on the role of Star Lord, and will make important decisions that will influence the game’s story. Additionally, combat will see you commanding the other Guardians, similar to the Mass Effect series.

Guardians of the Galaxy will launch on Nintendo Switch and other platforms on October 26, 2021. Pre-orders are currently unavailable which is to be expected, as Guardians of the Galaxy on Switch will probably offer the ability to rent the game or purchase it at launch.
