Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania Beat

I’m ready to roll some monkeys around this October. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania releases then, and the game keeps revealing more of its roster the closer we get to launch. Just today, SEGA revealed Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania is adding Jet Set Radio‘s Beat to the cast as a free unlockable. Though clearly a human graffiti artist and not a monkey, the man is ready to be bowled around mercilessly. All in the name of reaching the end goal.

Beat being in Super Monkey Ball makes me hopeful for other crossover characters

Check out the official reveal from Sega of America’s YouTube:

Oh wow, he collects yellow spray cans instead of bananas? I’m going to preorder this title ASAP. The only thing that can make this better is more of the JSR soundtrack being added. I have to move along to “Dragula.”

I love seeing SEGA paying homage to its IP. Hopefully, a Jet Set Radio remaster or sequel is on its way soon. Hey, a gamer can dream, right?

Enthusiasts, are you happy to see Beat as a guest character in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania? Have you already preordered the game in anticipation of its October 5 launch? Let us know in the comment field below.
