As great as the Nintendo Switch is, it’s certainly missing a few key video game series. If you’re a fan of hot-blooded competitive shooters like Call of Duty or Battlefield, what are you supposed to do? The answer is to play Panty Party, the competitive arena shooter where everyone plays as a pair of panties. It’s basically just like Call of Duty. Basically. Vaguely. Slightly. Anyways, the iconic panty-shooting action game that nobody asked for is getting a free update later this year that will introduce a variety of new multiplayer options.
If you’re one of the proud owners of a copy of Panty Party, but desperately wish you could gather the family around your television on Christmas Eve and enjoy the game together, your slightly disturbing prayers have finally been answered. Developer Cosen has announced that the new update coming to the game will introduce local multiplayer functionality. Players will be able to drop into free-for-all battles of up to 4 players or set up a team-focused 2v2 match.
Interestingly enough, the game already features 4-player splitscreen multiplayer. It isn’t quite clear how this new local free-for-all mode differs from the existing version already inside the game.
Panty Party is available now on the Nintendo eShop for $14.99.
