After going through the paces in Steam Early Access for a while, colorful arcade racer Horizon Chase Turbo eventually rolled out a full launch on multiple consoles, including a release on the Nintendo Switch in 2018. Work on the game didn’t end there, however. New updates and content packs have been coming to the game regularly since it launched, and that doesn’t seem to be stopping any time soon. A new update is coming to the game soon titled the “Hometown Update,” named so because it adds a new locale and car based on Porto Alegre, the hometown of the developers of the game.
Located in Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil, Porto Alegre comes to life in Horizon Chase Turbo with all of the iconic landmarks and vistas the gorgeous city is known for. You’ll be able to race through two brand new tracks based on the city: Guaíba Sunset and Nightfall in Porto Alegre.
The new locations also come with a brand new vehicle, the Minuano. This sleek ride was designed and produced in Porto Alegre in the 1980’s. The Minuano will include six different skins so you can customize the finish of this new car to your tastes.
Horizon Chase Turbo is available now on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
