The Wii U launched with a number of video-on-demand services, such as Hulu. But now, a little over six years since then, Hulu is pulling out from the platform. According to Reddit user ‘macaarone’, they received an email stating that support for the service will end as of February 20, 2019. At the time of writing, that’s just a month away. ‘Macaarone’ also highlighted the fact that Hulu has already been delisted from the Wii U eShop, so only existing customers can make use of the service until its termination.

Considering that the Wii U has been out of production since January 2017, Hulu stuck around for quite awhile extra. But, it must be noted that Hulu is still supported on PS3 and Xbox 360, which are much older platforms. Even before the Wii U’s Hulu app will be defunct, the original Wii’s service will be terminated at the end of this month (January).
