Hypercharge: Unboxed update

Hypercharge: Unboxed, a toy-themed shooting title, has a sixth free content update on the way, as revealed by developer Digital Cybercherries on its Steam community page. The update will feature a single-player PvE campaign that explores the lore behind the toybox shooter and the motivations of its main character Sgt. Max Ammo. Here is how Digital Cybercherries described their vision for the campaign DLC:

Following a linear story through a ‘90s inspired visual comic, players must complete each mission of Sgt. Max Ammo, complete new objectives, fight new bosses and go head to head against your nemesis at the end of the game. That is, if you make it that far!

Below, you can also check out an official trailer for the upcoming single-player campaign.

While we do not yet have a release date for this Hypercharge: Unboxed add-on, the developers at least provided confirmation that they intend to bring the update to Switch, saying, “don’t worry, we plan to keep the Nintendo Switch version just as up-to-date.”
