Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity might be getting some extra characters through DLC. That’s one potential conclusion following a datamining discovery of voice clips for characters not currently available in the game. The voice clips, which come from Gaming Reinvented, involve characters currently playable in the game – such as Zelda, Maz Koshia, and Daruk – calling out to characters like Purah, Robbie, Sooga, and Astor. Gaming Reinvented additionally showed voice clips depicting Purah and Robbie calling out to Sidon, Yunobo, Hestu, and Maz Koshia. These datamined voice clips match up with voice clips that you can currently find in-game when moving between playable characters (when switching, your character will call out the name of whoever you swap to).
Of course, we cannot be sure that this indicates plans for DLC. The voice clips could indicate something else, such as cut content. DLC would not be surprising at all, however, considering the impressive success of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. It’s already broken sales records for the series, after all.
