Ubisoft’s Immortals Fenyx Rising is nearly here, arriving early next month. This is the company’s latest outing on Nintendo Switch and for good reason. The game looks to merge some of the themes and mechanics of 2018’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey with the art style of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. However, Immortals Fenyx Rising has a different look for today, via a nice new animated trailer promo.
The animated clip features what looks like a massive boss, as the fight transitions from broad daylight to a much darker scene. I’m not sure if this will feature in-game, but honestly, I’d love for the game’s cutscenes to look just like this.
The animated trailer also advertises a preorder bonus for Immortals Fenyx Rising. Reserve the game before launch, and you’ll get your hands on the “A Tale of Fire and Lightning” bonus quest. Completing said quest also nets you the Blazing Wings, a neat-looking customization option for your character.
If you’re already looking at what else is coming for Immortals Fenyx Rising, Ubisoft detailed the season pass earlier this month. Three expansions are due post-launch, including a trip to explore Chinese mythology. The expansions weren’t dated, but it’s safe to assume more Immortals Fenyx Rising content is coming in 2021.
Immortals Fenyx Rising launches Dec. 3 on Switch.
