Ubisoft has revealed its Immortals Fenyx Rising post-launch plans, for after the game releases on Dec. 3. Those who purchase the game’s season pass will eventually receive access to a bonus quest, “When the Road Gets Rocky,” in addition to three DLC expansions: A New God, Myths of the Eastern Realm, and The Lost Gods. A trailer teases each of the expansions, in addition to some new protagonists and settings. Myths of the Eastern Realm in particular will introduce elements of Chinese mythology, a pretty cool juxtaposition considering the rest of the game is rooted firmly in Greek mythology. The game will also receive assorted free content, including daily and weekly quests, community contests, vault challenges, and additional cosmetics.
With the expansions though, Immortals Fenyx Rising will first see A New God, where Fenyx undergoes the Trial of the Olympians at “Olympos.” Victory means getting to join the Inner Circle of the Pantheon. Then Myths of the Eastern Realm will let you play as new character Ku, employing a fighting style rooted in Chinese martial arts to defeat new monsters in a new Eastern setting. Finally, The Lost Gods will introduce a new top-down view and brawler combat as you take control of another new character, Ash, on a new island.
Immortals Fenyx Rising will launch next month on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, Stadia, and Amazon Luna. (Phew.) Do any or all of these DLC expansions make the game more enticing to you?
