The eShop has a fairly extensive holiday sale going on, with plenty of big-time publishers like Bandai Namco getting in on the action, but now, several indie games such as Golf Story and Hades have entered the fray with their own discounts in what’s being officially marketed as the Indie World Holiday Sale. You can peruse a large list of sales here on Nintendo’s website.
At a glance, highlights of the Indie World Holiday Sale include five bucks off Hades (from $24.99 to $19.99), Cuphead for $13.99, and Golf Story for $7.49. However, the list on Nintendo’s website does not appear to be complete – certain indie titles on my wishlist like Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling (available for $17.49) and Tricky Towers ($7.49) are newly discounted, so who knows how extensive this sale actually is. If you’ve got some indie games on your eShop wishlist, I recommend giving it a look and seeing if you can spot any savings.
Think you’ll pick anything up from the Indie World Holiday Sale? I’ve got my eye on Golf Story, as always, but it goes on sale for $7.49 quite often, so I’m not feeling compelled to buy it if I’m not gonna play it right away. I’m similarly interested in Bug Fables, but I’m not going to be able to get to it any time soon, and who knows – maybe it’ll go even cheaper before too long. The sale runs through noon ET on January 3, so you’ve got time to think it over as the holidays go on.
