An upcoming Ninjala livestream is set to feature Kyary Pamyu Pamyu according to the game’s developer, GungHo Online Entertainment. The livestream aims to show off even more features in the bubblegum arena brawler as we get closer to the release date of June 24.

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is known as a Japanese model, singer, and “Harajuku’s own Kawaii Ambassador,” so her presence is bound to spice up anything in which she appears. When the New 3DS launched, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu starred in a TV advertising campaign for the console that was aired in Japan.

The livestream will be hosted on GungHo Online Entertainment’s Twitch channel at 6 a.m. BST (1 a.m. EST!) on June 18. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu will be playing the game during the livestream while the developers talk about more of the available features and mechanics.

It’s also worth noting that the fifth developer diary for Ninjala was released yesterday. The video covers some brand new weapons in the game, including the Drum Beat and Scroll Blade, and it even has a few stats about the most popular weapons and costumes from the recent beta.

You’d be forgiven for not having heard any of this J-pop star’s music before, but below is one of her earliest and most popular songs, “Pon Pon Pon.”

Started out playing Metroid 2 on the GameBoy at around 5 years-old, and now I write about games all day long. Can't play Switch and drive, I've tried. As time goes on the Switch is quickly becoming my favourite console of all time.
