Pokémon GO is the perfect game to take on a stroll, catching a few monsters and getting some exercise. We’ve seen plenty of people go above and beyond though, turning the game into an intense lifestyle. One trainer stands above the rest though, as a Japanese player known as Kyarorina has passed the mark of one million Pokémon caught.
Pokémon Trainer Kyarorina from Japan has OFFICIALLY achieved 1 MILLION Catches in #PokemonGO becoming the 1st Player in the world to accomplish this achievement!

Catching one million Pokémon in Pokémon GO is beyond a gargantuan task, considering the game has been out for a little over three years now. YouTuber Reversal reported that Kyarorina catches over 800 Pokémon a day while also maintaining a day job. One million is a hard number to put into perspective, but Kyarorina shows that with enough dedication, even crazy dreams like this are achievable.
Pokémon GO is still thriving, and while likely millions of Pokémon are caught every day, I’m sure there are countless superstars like Kyarorina (and the Taiwanese grandpa who plays a dozen copies of the game simultaneously on a bike) doing the heavy lifting. There’s plenty to continue looking forward to in the game even if you’re not a numbers fiend. Countless events, new features, and, of course, new Pokémon are being added constantly. While I haven’t dipped my toes in for a while, it’s great to know that the whole world can enjoy Pokémon together.
