Jump Rope Challenge

Jump Rope Challenge launched last month, and within three days, players had taken over 200 million jumps. The free exercise title from Nintendo was created to ease the burden from a lack of exercise during COVID-19 lockdowns. It’s a simple game, where players use the Joy-Con to virtually skip rope for as long as possible. Now, Nintendo has released an update that contains a bunch of cool, themed skins from various Nintendo franchises.

In the tweet, there’s a bunch of familiar faces from the Mario series, alongside appearances from Animal Crossing, Metroid, and Splatoon. The content is available now with the latest version of Jump Rope Challenge. New backgrounds and jump rope moves are also present, so this is quite a substantial update for the game.

Recently, we reported that Jump Rope Challenge has been a hit for Nintendo. In the Q&A portion of Nintendo’s recent Investor’s Briefing, it was revealed that players had already wracked up 590,000,000 jumps in the game. This number nearly triples that initial three-day jump count, so this one hasn’t tailed off just yet.

Remember, Jump Rope Challenge is available for free, but only through September. If you want to get your hands on this exercise title on Switch, make sure you download it before October.
