Kabal dashes and gasses his way into Mortal Kombat 11 cast

Today’s scheduled Kombat Kast gave us a taste of a returning fan favorite. The gas mask-wearing, hook sword-wielding master of dash shenanigans Kabal joins the Mortal Kombat 11 roster. Breathe it in.

Kabal returns after skipping out on Mortal Kombat X. He first debuted in Mortal Kombat 3 back in 1995. The gas mask, hook swords, and dash traps made him a top tier pick for fighting game fans.

The Mortal Kombat Twitter revealed some flashy moves also. Here we see a drag out and spin combo-ender as well as a brutal Crushing Blow.

Kabal looks like he’ll have some nice mixup potential by keeping his opponent guessing with high and low attacks. One of his character variations utilizes gas for mobility and trapping. And his Fatal Blow looks especially gruesome hooking his sword into the opponent’s jugular. The fatality shown did not disappoint either. If The Flash decided to get violent and had a penchant for slicing, this would be the result.

The next Kombat Kast is scheduled for next Thursday where we are promised another character reveal. There were also fan questions answered, one of which was about the inclusion of Shaggy in Scooby-Doo.  Unfortunately, this was *ahem* “dekonfirmed” on the stream.

What do you think about Kabal’s reveal? Who do you hope to see next added to Mortal Kombat 11? Let us know in the comments!
