Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Last week, we got the much-anticipated September Direct, which had plenty of exciting appearances and announcements. We saw more of Bayonetta 3, learned about Nintendo 64 games coming to Switch online, and will finally get to explore the world of Kirby in full 3D thanks to Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Now that the hype has settled, where do you stand on last week’s Nintendo Direct? What was your favorite announcement?

Kirby and the Forgotten Land takes the cake for me. The famous pink puffball is one of Nintendo’s most popular characters to have still not received a full 3D game, and I’ve spent years wondering just how well Kirby’s copy-cat abilities and whimsical exploration would translate to the third dimension. While we will have to wait until the game comes out to see if the devs can nail the necessary smoothness and engagement necessary for a 3D platformer to be, well, fun, I’ve got my hopes up pretty high for this one.

What was your favorite part of the Nintendo Direct last week? Was it a new announcement, or was it getting more information on games like Metroid Dread and Bayonetta 3? Let us know your favorite part of the presentation in the comments section below.
