Kirby Fighters 2

Nintendo inadvertently revealed Kirby Fighters 2 late last night. Presumably a sequel to the successful Kirby: Triple Deluxe minigame-turned-eShop-release, the game briefly appeared on Nintendo’s website. However, Nintendo quickly scrubbed any mention of the title from the page. Thankfully, @Wario64 on Twitter has shared a screenshot of what the listing initially looked like.

If you can’t view the image in the tweet, it shows title art for Kirby Fighters 2, a $20 price tag, and a short description:

Choose from a cast of Kirby’s most iconic copy abilities—including the brand-new wrestler ability—and duke it out to be the last Kirby standing. Familiar friends and foes like Bandana Waddle Dee and King Dedede also make an appearance as playable characters in the Kirby Fighters 2 game, available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch system.

If you enjoyed the original, then perhaps you’ll like Kirby Fighters 2, whenever it comes out. Unfortunately, this was a strange and apparently unplanned way for Nintendo to reveal the game, so there’s no telling when we’ll actually see it in action. The fact that the game made it onto the official site at all does weigh strongly in favor of it actually existing, though, and the accidental reveal hopefully points to a real reveal happening soon. Stay tuned!
