Knockout City released earlier this week to fairly impressive reception (we gave it an 8.5 out of 10) and, apparently, a good bit of fanfare, since two million people have already played the game. The devs announced the milestone on Twitter yesterday evening. No doubt spurred on by the game’s current free trial period and its presence on Game Pass, the dev team behind Knockout City is off to a great start in getting its game into as many hands as possible.

If you’re interested in giving Knockout City a shot, try to check it out soon – the free trial period lasts for another five days. With cross-play and cross-progression between PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series, the game is incredibly accessible and allows you to throw down with your friends no matter what they play on.

Have you tried out Knockout City just yet? If so, what do you think? Our reviewer praised the game’s impressive netcode, thrilling gameplay, and exciting visual and sound design while noting that the controls take a little bit of time to grasp and that Switch players specifically will have to deal with some visual setbacks. Ultimately, the game’s debut is quite impressive, and we can’t wait to see where Knockout City goes in the future.
