LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga release date TT Games Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Nintendo Switch

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has fans incredibly excited. Promising a reimagined run through all nine main movies in the franchise, the game is heartily awaited by veteran fans of the Lego Star Wars games and newcomers alike. Unfortunately, while the game was at one point slated to come out this October, that may not be the case anymore. The game’s official website now indicates a 2021 release. We likely won’t have to wait too long to hear more – today at Gamescom, the gameplay world premier of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is coming up at 2 PM ET. That’d be a perfect time to reveal an official 2021 release date.

With the game’s impressive scope and the current pandemic forcing game development studios all over the world to retool themselves to work from home, a delay would not be surprising in the slightest. With any luck, though, even if this delay turns out to be real, it won’t last too long, and we can all get to Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga early 2021. In the meantime, we’ll be able to check out the game’s first gameplay debut in just a few short hours. Are you excited? I know I am.
