Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was first announced during the Xbox E3 Briefing 2019, with TT Games returning to develop a gorgeous Lego-ified rendition of the whole shebang. Since then, we’ve learned various details, such as that the game runs on a new engine and contains nearly 500 characters. Now, we finally know that the game will launch on Oct. 20, 2020, but this released date information doesn’t come by way of a special new trailer or anything. Nah, it just sort of shows up in a random new Star Wars video on YouTube. Okay, cool. At the least, it reflects the level of care with which the films have been handled lately.
Nintendo Enthusiast previewed Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga at E3 2019 and walked away awfully enthusiastic about it. Those who already love the games are very likely to appreciate this one too, and it might even win over some new fans.
Along those lines, our sister site The Escapist published an article today about why Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens is actually a better piece of art than the film it’s based upon. After reading the article, I believe it!
What do you think of what TT Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment are cooking up with Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga? And will you be able to bear the wait till the October release date?
