Life is Strange: True Colors Nintendo Switch rating ESRB Square Enix Deck Nine Games

The Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB) has┬árated Square Enix and Deck Nine Games’ Life is Strange: True Colors T for Teen for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, Stadia and — Nintendo Switch! Square Enix officially announced the game last month during its first Square Enix Presents event, but Nintendo Switch was not among the announced platforms for the game. Either the ESRB made a mistake — which would be unusual — or Life is Strange: True Colors will be formally announced for Switch at a later date.

Presuming the latter is the case, this could also potentially mean that previous Life is Strange titles could make their way to Nintendo’s hybrid eventually. After all, the Life is Strange: True Colors Ultimate Edition will include Life is Strange Remastered Collection, which contains the original game and its expansion, Life is Strange: Before the Storm. However, it could also be the case that a Switch version was not already announced specifically because there are no plans for an Ultimate Edition and remasters for Switch. Time will tell, of course.

Either way, this new entry follows Alex Chen as she explores Haven Springs and uses her “psychic power of Empathy” to “experience, absorb, and manipulate the strong emotions of others,” which she can physically see as colors (hence the name of the game). Music is being provided by mxmtoon. If you enjoyed previous games in the franchise, you’ll probably enjoy this one too. Deck Nine Games previously developed Before the Storm; Dontnod Entertainment was the developer of the two mainline entries and is seemingly uninvolved with True Colors.

What do you think of Life is Strange: True Colors apparently coming to Switch?
