During last week’s PlayStation 5 console reveal, Little Devil Inside showed itself after a hiatus. The open-world action RPG launched as a Kickstarter project back in 2015 and was due to release the same year. Five years ago, the target platforms included Wii U, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It’s now been revealed that initially, Little Devil Inside will be a Sony and PC timed-exclusive.
That means a game that was originally slated for Nintendo and Xbox platforms won’t launch there, and concrete plans of a release on these platforms hasn’t been discussed. For now, Little Devil Inside is set to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC, as explained in a Kickstarter update post. Right now, comments on the post range from positive to outraged, with people expressing the desire for a refund option as release platforms have now changed.
That’s not the only controversy for Little Devil Inside though. As the new trailer launched at the PS5 reveal event, the developer got into some trouble about “racist stereotypes.” The studio has pledged to make changes to the way it depicts its in-game characters, and it says the team members “were not producing character designs referenced on any real African and/or Afro-American human tribes.”
Would you like to see this one come to Nintendo Switch someday? Or, uh, Wii U?
