We might be moving out of spooky season, but horror games are ever present. One of our most anticipated on Nintendo Switch is the follow-up to Little Nightmares, Little Nightmares II. While the game isn’t scheduled to drop until next February, Tarsier Studios and Bandai Namco are rolling out a demo on all platforms.
Today, Dec. 10, the Wilderness demo goes live on PC via Steam, along with digital preorders. The same demo is scheduled to drop for consoles early next year, including Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The first game launched a little later on Switch than other platforms, so it’s nice to see console parity at least for Little Nightmares II and its demo.
Training begins today, little ones.

On Steam, the demo isn’t tied to preorders either, so anyone interested in the Little Nightmares sequel can give it a go. Last year’s story trailer showcased some suitably dark woods and creepy abandoned buildings. Hopefully, the Wilderness demo for Switch will let us explore these Little Nightmares II environments when it drops next year.
Shortly after the release date was announced, Bandai Namco also revealed various retail editions of Little Nightmares II. Standard retail copies come with the Tekken-inspired Mokujin Mask headgear for protagonist Mono. In Europe, an exclusive limited edition was also revealed. The TV Edition comes bundled with your typical list of physical and digital extras.
Little Nightmares II launches for Switch on Feb. 11, 2021.
