A bit after the fact, we’ve learned that another title revealed at EA Play Live 2020 is also coming to Nintendo Switch. Lost in Random, a game by developer Zoink and being published as an EA Original, will come to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Origin and Steam in 2021. The game is “a gothic fairy tale action-adventure with a very modern message” that is “set in a twisted dystopia where uncertainty and chaos are feared.”
In Lost in Random, main character Even is “a little girl with a big heart and an even bigger temper” who must go on a dangerous journey. She’s not alone because she has a “crazy little weird friend thing” called Dicey, a living die. The kingdom of Random is filled with chaos, and dark forces basically make things terrible for everybody. However, with Dicey’s help, Even has the power to, well, even the odds and use the randomness to her advantage.
You can watch the trailer directly, but below that, we have also provided the EA Play Live 2020 video cued up to when CEO and Game Director Klaus Lyngeled and Game Director Olov Redmalm discuss the game and its origins.
Zoink is the developer of Fe, one of the only other EA titles to ever appear on Nintendo Switch. So the arrival of Lost in Random on Nintendo Switch makes good sense.
EA will release seven games for Nintendo Switch in the next 12 months, so Lost in Random may or may not be one of them depending upon when it launches in 2021. We know for sure that Burnout Paradise Remastered, Apex Legends, and FIFA 21 Legacy Edition are among the seven though.
