Lost Words: Beyond the Page Nintendo Switch Sketchbook Games Modus Games release date April 6, 2021

Developer Sketchbook Games and publisher Modus Games will bring narrative adventure Lost Words: Beyond the Page to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on April 6. The game originally launched on Google Stadia last year, where it received a positive critical reception from the few outlets that covered it and picked up a handful of awards. The premise involves using written words to work through the difficulties in life, and word selection is involved in solving puzzles and physically constructing unique platforming segments, as seen in the game’s release date trailer.

Rhianna Pratchett, who wrote for Mirror’s Edge, Tomb Raider, and Rise of the Tomb Raider, penned the story to Lost Words: Beyond the Page. The narrative of the game is summarized like this: “When Izzy comes to terms with the trauma of losing a loved one close to her, she envelopes herself into a surreal story that evolves and shapes itself in ways no one could ever see coming.”

Lost Words: Beyond the Page doesn’t honestly dazzle me in any respect, but the game wouldn’t have scooped up those awards if it weren’t a quality experience. So keep this title and Sketchbook Games in mind when Lost Words launches on Nintendo Switch in April.
