Disney Interactive Dotemu Lucasfilm Classic Games: Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghoul Patrol June 29 release date Nintendo Switch

Disney Interactive, Dotemu, and Lucasfilm Games are bringing Lucasfilm Classic Games: Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghoul Patrol to Nintendo Switch with a release date of June 29, 2021. Zombies Ate My Neighbors was a classic 1993 LucasArts game that offered co-op top-down exploration and shooting in a world overrun with silly horror movie creatures, and Ghoul Patrol was its good but less-famous 1994 SNES sequel. Now, both games are coming back on Nintendo Switch, and the world is a better place for it. (I guess we can stop asking for them for SNES Switch Online, at least.)

Here are a bunch of mostly new features you can expect with Lucasfilm Classic Games: Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghoul Patrol on Switch:

  • Save Feature: Quickly save your progress in either game and continue your adventure wherever and whenever you want
  • Museum Features: Watch a video interview with one of the original Zombies’ developers or explore numerous galleries containing game art, previously unreleased concept images, and marketing assets
  • Soundtrack: Listen to the entire soundtrack for both games in the included music players
  • 2 Player Mode: Play the game with two player local co-op
  • Achievements: Track your game progress with a set of achievements covering both games

Tell us how you feel about the surprise of Lucasfilm Classic Games: Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghoul Patrol coming to Switch — as well as what you think of that close June 29 release date! [Update: The game will also launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and GOG for $14.99.]
