Luigi’s Mansion 3 is still a few hours away, but Nintendo is already on top of basic bug extermination with a day one patch. The update, which brings the game up to version 1.1.0, is incredibly barebones. It provides a few unspecified bug fixes and essentially nothing else. My playthrough of the game already communicated an incredibly polished, all-around fantastic experience, but I am obviously glad to see Nintendo rigorously seeking and stamping out bugs in Luigi’s latest ghostly thriller. Glitches are not the sort of jump scares need in Luigi’s Mansion 3.
As I’ve stated, the tiny Luigi’s Mansion 3 update really does not bring any changes to the game outside of minor bug fixes. You will, however, still need it if you want to enjoy the incredibly fun online modes, so keep that in mind. More importantly, if you are planning on some local download play, then the versions will have to match up; version 1.0.0 and version 1.1.0 are not compatible with one another.
Are you picking up Luigi’s Mansion 3? Are you happy to see all of these barely-existant bugs Poltergusted out of existence before the game is even out? The game is an absolute treat, so if you are picking it up, you are in for a good time. The single-player is lengthy and creative, and the host of multiplayer options give Luigi’s Mansion 3 some serious party potential. If you’ve got plans for the game this weekend, take to the comments and let us know what they are.
