Although Nintendo never officially announced the game, Newegg.com has listed Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon for the Nintendo Wii U on their website. This development is a very interesting one as often times retailers are informed of upcoming products before the media is, and accidental listings can slip through.

On further investigation, this listing gets even weirder. The boxart showed on the webpage is confirmed to be fan made, so it is completely unofficial. Newegg’s customer service begs to differ, though. When asked about the unconfirmed product, Newegg replied by saying:

We have listed all the applicable information from the manufacturers on the website. All the information you see on Newegg.com comes directly from the manufacturer. We guarantee the information provided on our website. …All the information on the item page is from the manufacturer and we do guarantee that information.- Customer service rep

Currently, the unannounced game is priced at $39.99, although that price is probably bound to change.

What are your thoughts on these new developments? Would you be willing to re-buy Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon in order to play the game in glorious HD, or would you rather refrain from buying the game again? Make sure to let us know in the comments section below!
