Spike Chunsoft has announced Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. The genre is 3D action RPG, and it will launch worldwide in 2022. Additionally, the Made in Abyss anime also got a season 2 announcement today.
Fans will get to relive the story of the anime as a 3D action RPG. Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness will feature an original story supervised by series creator Akihito Tsukushi. It’s also worth noting that the game’s rating in Japan is Cero Z (mature), so we can expect it to stick closely to the source material.
Furthermore, it will include many characters from the series, with fully voiced event scenes by the cast from the anime. In any case, there are more than a few horrors from the anime that I wouldn’t wish to relive, but it’ll certainly be interesting to see how they pull it off in the game.
Here’s a story blurb from Spike Chunsoft:
The world’s sole remaining, unconquered chasm, the Abyss, is the stage where many adventures are born…and disappear.
Those who appear in these stories are mesmerized by thepower of the Abyss and aim for the bottom of the netherworld.
The story about to be told is that of a nameless Cave Raiderthat begins their adventure many days afterRiko and Reg depart for the Abyss.
Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness launches worldwide in 2022 for Switch, PS4, and PC. If you’re interested in checking out the anime, season 1 is available to watch via Amazon Prime Video.
