Mana series 30th anniversary livestream Square Enix Secret Trials Legend

Square Enix has announced that it will host a special livestream to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Mana series on June 27, 2021. The broadcast will begin at 6:00 p.m. (JST) and is expected to last about three hours.

Here’s the announcement tweet with a short message about what to expect:

Mana series 30th anniversary livestream set!

Hmm… this is definitely something you’ll want to see.

Date and time scheduled for Sunday, June 27, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (JST)”

The event will feature Mana series creator Koichi Ishii, who originally joined Square in 1987. Ishii left Square Enix in 2007 after completing the World of Mana subseries to form Grezzo, the company that developed The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for Nintendo Switch and more. Other guests include Susumu Imadachi of Eleki Comic and Mana series producer Sho Oyamada.

During the presentation, we’ll get a look back at past Mana games, from the first one in Final Fantasy Adventure (Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden in Japan) to the upcoming Legend of Mana remaster coming June 24. In any case, Square Enix loves making new game announcements for these anniversary streams, so there’s a good chance they’ll announce the next Mana game, remaster, or remake at the event.

The Mana series 30th anniversary livestream will be available to watch on YouTube, NicoNico Live, and Twitter.
