March 10, 2021 Mario Day Mar10 Day sales sale celebrations festivities 35% off eShop Super Mario Party Mario Tennis Aces Super Mario Maker 2 Luigi's Mansion 3

The so-called holiday known as Mar10 Day was born when people realized “March 10” can be abbreviated to look like “Mario,” and we’ve never looked back since. As such, Nintendo has announced that some of the Mar10 Day festivities are actually beginning early this year, including a sale of 35% off on four Mario-related titles: Luigi’s Mansion 3, Mario Tennis Aces, Super Mario Maker 2, and Super Mario Party. That puts each title at $38.99 instead of $59.99, and this Mar10 Day sale will continue until March 13 at 11:59 p.m. PT.

Nintendo has also given us a heads-up about other Mar10 Day celebration events going on across the Nintendo sphere. The highlights include that the Mario Tour will come to Mario Kart Tour for March 9 – 23, including “the Tokyo Blur 4 course and newly added drivers, karts, and gliders.” Additionally, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has a Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary crossover event occurring through March 23 at 10:59 p.m. PT, and “special poses will be added for Fave Photos, and some past event items will return, too.” Plus, you will receive a Mario hat cushion just for logging into the game, and you can participate in relevant My Nintendo missions as well.

And of course, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has a variety of Mario crossover items and features this month as well.

Otherwise, Nintendo reminds us that the Nintendo Switch Mario Red & Blue Edition and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury both exist, but they are not going on sale — the company just really hopes you’ll want to buy them.

Happy early Mar10 Day!
