Mario Golf: Super Rush update

If you’re still playing Mario Golf: Super Rush, you’ll notice a new update next time you boot up the game. This is because some brand new content has been added to the game! With this update, Koopa Troopa and Ninji join the playable character roster, while two new courses, Blustery Basin and Spiky Palms, are available to play on.

As with all characters, Koopa Troopa and Ninji each have a Special Shot and a Special Dash. Both Ninji and Koopa Troopa’s have “skipper” moves for their Special Shot, which knocks away opposing golf balls in a small area each time your ball bounces. Similarly, these two characters both have “dash” moves for the Special Dash, knocking over anyone in their path via turtle shell or flip. For the two courses, Blustery Basin features a snowy area, where strong winds and blizzards affect how your ball rolls. On the other end of the spectrum, we have Spiky Palms, a desert-based course which plays home to a number of spiky things, such as Spikes.

Today’s update follows a batch of new content last month, which introduced Toadette and New Donk City into the game, as well as a ranked match mode. No further plans for updates have been announced at this time, but I have to imagine there will be a few more at least.
