The opening of Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan was pushed back. Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Orlando has been delayed indefinitely. But it’s still nice to think about what the future might hold! And we may not need much imagination to do it either, because Super Nintendo World promo videos have apparently leaked into the wild via a designer’s Vimeo account, including mock-ups for a website. The clips have since been removed, understandably, but not before being shared around Twitter. And despite being short, they still bring the hype pretty hard, particularly for the Mario Kart ride.

It stands to reason you won’t literally be attacked by exploding projectiles directed by Bowser when the Mario Kart ride arrives at Super Nintendo World locations, as Nintendo likely isn’t insured for that. However, augmented reality (AR) technology might make it feel close enough to the real deal. Although nobody is wearing any AR goggles in the promotional images, there is still mention that AR technology will be present at the park. The promo videos might offer a reflection of what you’ll really get to see.

Also, details for the Yoshi ride have apparently leaked as well. “Yoshi’s Adventure” evidently involves following Captain Kinopio (Captain Toad) on a treasure hunt for eggs around Mount Beanpole from Super Mario 3D World.

These Super Nintendo World promo videos and images are really exciting stuff, so it’s unfortunate that the park’s opening is still a ways away, no matter where you live in the world. It seems like it will be worth that wait though.
