The Mario Kart Tour 1st Anniversary Tour is upon us to, well, celebrate the game’s first-year anniversary. The 1st Anniversary Tour brings five city courses back, along with new customization options and more. The event is now live in Mario Kart Tour on mobile, and a launch trailer shows us what to expect.
The biggest detail we’ve learned since last week’s announcement is that one of the courses is brand new. The 1st Anniversary Tour brings a new variant of the New York Minute track, called New York Minute 3. As the name suggests, this is the third variant of this particular course, which takes notes from Super Mario Odyssey‘s New Donk City.
As this is the first anniversary event, Nintendo is throwing in a few extras. Login bonuses are extended from the usual 10 days to 14 days, as are the event tokens. Anniversary Challenges are also added alongside the standard Tour Challenges, granting the player rubies as completion rewards.
Log-In Bonuses have been upgraded for the 1st Anniversary Tour! In the second half of the tour, you can also receive a High-End level-boost ticket from the 11th day! #MarioKartTour pic.twitter.com/NHOpWRl9dE

As this marks a year on the market for Mario Kart Tour, where would you like it to go from here? The new tours that drop every two weeks are a good way to bring people back, but we’d like to see larger updates drop every now and then, with multiple new tracks.
The Mario Kart Tour 1st Anniversary Tour is now live.
