The holiday celebrations are over in Mario Kart Tour as the New Year Tour has wrapped up, but the festive events will evidently continue well into 2021. The Mario Kart Tour Berlin Tour is next, and it brings a new city course, character outfits (Luigi in Lederhosen!), kart options, and more.
Courses are typically the most noteworthy additions to the racer, and this latest content drop adds Berlin Byways 2, which happens to be the first new city course added for 2021. It looks like it’ll take us through the heart of Berlin, featuring some of the city’s most famous landmarks.
The rest of the Berlin Tour content expands to a broader German theme. There’s a Lederhosen Luigi character outfit, a look more strongly associated with the Bavarian region of the country. Then there’s the Fast Frank kart, featuring a sausage-shaped body and a pretty uncomfortable-looking spatula seat.
It’s all suitably German then, if not strictly centering on the capital city of Berlin. One strange thing is that Mario Kart Tour is kicking off its Berlin course content with Berlin Byways 2, when number 1 isn’t even present in the game. Could it be a mistake or a content reshuffle? We’re not sure, but it’s Berlin either way.
The Berlin Tour has already begun in Mario Kart Tour.
