Mario World

Are any of you out there playing and enjoying Dr. Mario World? It seems quite different than the original game that I enjoyed on the NES, so I’m not particularly interested in giving it a go. However, if fans are looking for new doctors to play as, there’s cause for celebration today. A datamine of the mobile title has revealed models for unreleased and possibly upcoming DLC characters.

Dr. Mario World is about to get crowded with clinicians

Twitter user @zeroetanaru shared a quick look at the playable characters on the social media platform:

It looks like doctor versions of Rosalina, Daisy, Waluigi, Wario, Baby Mario, etc., are about to cure your body of illness with unlabeled colored capsules.

I have several issues with this.

Again with the infants?!

Look, I get it. There aren’t a lot of new characters in the Mario series, so sometimes you have to make do with what you have.

That being said, I see three baby physicians and a star that doesn’t even have a neck to wrap his stethoscope around. This has “reckless endangerment of patients” written all over it. A lawsuit is inevitable.

I have become weary of seeing the baby versions of Mario mainstays appear in video games. It comes off as unimaginative. Besides, where is the variety?

At the very least, add someone we haven’t seen in a long time. For instance, Wart from Super Mario Bros. 2. He has a machine that spits out an endless supply of vegetables, and that means he takes health VERY seriously.

Mobile Enthusiasts, do you have Dr. Mario World downloaded on your phone? Are you excited to see a chimpanzee that can’t even form words become a medical practitioner? Let us know in the comment field below!
